Waternet

WaterNet Diagram
The NASA Water Cycle Solutions Network, whose goal is to improve and optimize the sustained ability of water cycle researchers, stakeholders, organizations and networks to interact, identify, harness, and extend NASA research results to augment decision support tools and meet national needs.

LISW

Prototype Diagram
This project will develop a prototype Land Information Sensor Web (LISW) by integrating the Land Information System (LIS) in a sensor web framework. It will allow for optimal 2-way information flow that enhances land surface modeling using sensor web observations, and in turn allows sensor web reconfiguration to minimize overall system uncertainty.

Assimilation of MODIS and AMSR-E into Noah LSM

LDAS Diagram
To decisively accelerate the science of land surface satellite data assimilation in operational weather and climate models, we propose to develop and evaluate Kalman Filter data assimilation approaches to assimilate these MODIS and AMSR land data products into the Noah land surface model implemented in the North America Land Data Assimilation System.

Model Analysis Intercomparison for (CEOP)

Roshan Diagram
The project focuses on the ability of several current global data assimilation systems, individually and in ensemble, to reproduce all of the components of the water and energy cycles (precipitation, evaporation, transports, water and energy content, and radiation).

Water & Energy Cycle EOS Clearing HOuse Client (WECHO)

Flow diagram of WECHO data
The ability to monitor and to study the amount and location of water is critical for the management of earths resources. To this end, metadata in NASAs EOS ClearingHouse (ECHO) is an essential information resource for connecting water users to the best available data.
